Fuelling creativity through community, here’s a glimpse into the creative mind of Dubai’s Dina Saadi.

Q: When it comes to culture; art, music, fashion… How does your city differ from others around the world?
A: Dubai is an international Hub, colorful mix, with so many different nationalities, cultures and ideas. For me, this aspect is the most important one to describe this young vibrant city. Art, music, fashion, or anything else really, is better and more unique when people with different backgrounds are contributing to creating it.

Q: With everything going on today how important is Art in today’s society? How can art be a vector for change?
A: Art is a universal language. Anyone anywhere can relate to it and feel it. It’s accessible to all. Public art changes our entire experience within any space, or any city. It transforms our daily boring routine into an exciting journey, almost like an open museum.

Q: How can art be inclusive?
A: I do believe that art should be inclusive and representative of all human beings. When I travel and paint murals I try to communicate with the local community to include elements that resonate with them.
